Spring is bringing fresh momentum to VIDA San Antonio. From new homes and apartments to the grand opening of our pool and unveiling our next community public art sculpture, there’s something unfolding around every corner.
VIDA Pool & Clubhouse Grand Opening
Homeowners, it’s time to celebrate! The much-anticipated VIDA Pool and Clubhouse are opening this May, creating a new hub for relaxation and everyday fun.
Tucked among the oaks just beyond the Madla Greenway, the resort-style pool features a walk-in edge and splash area for kids. Poolside restrooms and changing rooms make it easy to transition in and out of swim time.
The clubhouse adds even more to the experience, with flexible work areas and room to gather with neighbors. A catering kitchen, flexible meeting room and work-friendly spaces give homeowners a place to work and recharge close to home.
The pool opens May 23 from 12-2 p.m. with a kickoff celebration featuring a DJ and food truck. VIDA Homeowners can visit the Homeowners Portal for details on hours, rules and how to obtain pool access cards.

2026 VIDA Fiesta Medal
VIDA is proud to introduce the 2026 Fiesta Medal, inspired by a custom bloom sculpture commissioned from nationally celebrated local artist Leticia Huerta. This year’s design reflects the color, creativity and cultura of the Southside. Follow along on VIDA’s Facebook and Instagram for opportunities to engage and celebrate Fiesta together!
VIDA Adds More Public Art
A new bloom sculpture by celebrated national artist Leticia Huerta is coming soon to VIDA, continuing the community’s signature blend of art, nature and movement. Inspired by Huerta’s Southside childhood, this colorful piece of wild roses will serve as an entry feature to the Madla Greenway in a larger-than-life display. Installation is expected in July.
New Apartments and Duplexes Coming to VIDA
Aspire at VIDA is the second apartment community planned for VIDA and now under construction. Located across from Texas A&M-San Antonio, Aspire at VIDA will feature amenities including a pool, playground and dog park, offering a convenient option for students and those who live or work nearby. First apartments are anticipated to be available Spring of 2027.
Legacy at VIDA duplexes are now under construction on S. Zarzamora, just north of the University Health hospital campus. The 122 three-bedroom, two-bath rental duplexes are anticipated to be complete in Spring 2027.
Newest Phase of VIDA Homes
Construction will begin this spring on the next new home neighborhood in VIDA, located in the community’s northeastern corner.
This new neighborhood will add nearly 500 single-family homes by Perry Homes, Highland Homes and Lennar. The expansion continues VIDA’s long-term vision of creating a connected community with a variety of homes designed for different stages of life, and the second phase of the Madla Greenway Trail.
University Health Vida and Texas A&M-San Antonio Partnership
Healthcare opportunities continue to expand at VIDA with the ongoing partnership between University Health and Texas A&M-San Antonio.
Following the successful opening of the University Health Vida Clinic, which provides urgent care, specialty care and lab services, this next phase strengthens access to care across the Southside and South Texas.
The future University Health Palo Alto Hospital at VIDA will welcome Texas A&M College of Medicine second-year residents, establishing the hospital as both a center for patient care and a teaching hospital. This collaboration supports a growing healthcare network while creating new career pathways in the community.
Commercial Development Coming Soon
VIDA’s first commercial development is moving through City approvals and is anticipated to begin construction later this year at the corner of Mitra Way and S. Zarzamora.
Plans include a mix of restaurants and services that will add to the convenience and everyday experience of living at VIDA. Watch for more updates as details are announced.
