New Pool & Clubhouse Become Community Gathering Spaces
Residents have spent the summer enjoying the community’s newest amenity: the VIDA Pool and Clubhouse.
Since opening in June, the amenity center has quickly become a hub of activity, hosting events that bring neighbors together and create new opportunities for relaxation and fun. Residents have joined in on everything from yoga classes and game nights to the recent End of Summer Pool Party, making the space a favorite destination for families and friends alike.
With a full calendar of events and plenty of opportunities to unwind, the pool and clubhouse have become a backdrop for new friendships and community life at VIDA.
VIDA’s Public Art Collection Continues to Grow
VIDA’s commitment to celebrating local culture and creativity continues with the installation of the community’s second public art piece, The Rose Garden, by acclaimed Southside artist Leticia Huerta.
An unveiling event with the artist and San Antonio arts community is planned to take place on Sept. 24. Huerta says the sculpture was inspired by her roots on San Antonio’s Southside and reflects the stories, resilience and beauty found throughout the community. Drawing from the symbolism of wild roses, the installation celebrates Southside culture.
As VIDA’s newest public art landmark takes shape, it will further the community’s vision of integrating art into everyday life and creating meaningful experiences for residents and visitors alike.
University Health Palo Alto Hospital Progresses
Just down the road from VIDA, construction continues on University Health’s new Palo Alto Hospital, with the exterior of the facility now nearing completion ahead of its anticipated spring 2027 opening.
The project recently received an artistic addition of its own with the installation of Flor de Esperanza, a striking sculpture by celebrated Mexican artist Sebastián. The piece serves as a powerful symbol of hope and healing and will welcome patients, employees and visitors to the new campus.
With public art installations at University Health, Texas A&M University-San Antonio and VIDA’s growing collection, the Southside continues to establish itself as one of San Antonio’s most exciting destinations for art.
Developments Underway and Expanding Housing Options
Growth continues across VIDA as new neighborhoods, housing options and residential communities move forward.
New Neighborhood Underway
Work continues on Phase 5, VIDA’s newest neighborhood. Once complete, the phase will add 493 homesites to the community and feature new homes from Highland Homes, Perry Homes and Lennar. Infrastructure construction is progressing with completion targeted for the first quarter of 2027.
Homebuyers interested in the next phase of VIDA can look forward to pre-sale information coming soon.
Duplexes and Apartments
Construction is also progressing on VIDA’s duplex product, providing future residents with additional housing choices within the community. The project is currently targeting completion in the second quarter of 2027.
Meanwhile, vertical construction has begun on Aspire at VIDA, the community’s second apartment complex. Aspire will add more residential opportunities for those seeking to enjoy VIDA’s convenient location near Texas A&M University-San Antonio and University Health’s VIDA clinic and Palo Alto Hospital.
